What We Believe

1. We believe in the existence of the only true and living God and that He has made Himself known to His people under the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Ghost, the same in essence and equal in divine perfection.

2. We believe the scriptures of the Old and New Testaments are the Word of God and the only true rule of faith and practice. 

   • II Timothy 3:16-17; Romans 1:1-2; II Timothy 3:15; Proverbs 30:3, 6; Romans 2:12

3. We believe in the doctrine of the original sin. 

   • Genesis 1:27; Genesis 4:6, 24; Romans 5:19; Ephesians 2:1,3, Ezekiel 18:19-20

4. We believe in man’s impotency to recover himself from the fallen state he is in by nature of his own will and ability. 

   • Ephesians 2:8, Matthew 8:11; Isaiah 53:4, 5; Hebrews 7:25

5. We believe sinners are justified in the sight of God only by the imputed righteousness of Christ. 

   • Acts 13:39; Romans 4:4, 6; Romans 5:12; Romans 5:9

6. We believe that nothing can separate the true believers from the love of God, but that they will be kept by the Power of God through faith and salvation. 

   • John 8:31; 1 John 2:19; Romans 8:8; Philippians 1:6, 2:12-13

7. We believe that repentance and faith are sacred duties and also inseparable graces, wrought in our souls by the regenerative spirit of God.

8. We believe that it is the duty of all Christians to seek to spread the knowledge of Jesus and the way of salvation to the uttermost parts of the earth.

Our church adheres to the beliefs outlined in the Baptist Faith and Message 2000.
